Mobile Proxies Geo Targetting

Mobile Proxies Geo Targetting

Geo-targeting allows you to specify the geographic location of the proxy you want to use. This can be essential for tasks like localized testing, content access, and more. Below, we’ll explain the key geo-targeting parameters and show you how to use them effectively.

Geo-targeting Parameters Permalink to Geo-targeting Parameters

  • _country-: Specify the country of the proxy.
  • _region-: Specify the region of the proxy.
  • _isp-: Specify the Internet Service Provider (ISP) of the proxy.
  • _continent-: Specify the continent of the proxy.

Choosing the Geo Source Permalink to Choosing the Geo Source

The parameters above are resolved by a geolocation database, and you can choose which one. By default Evomi uses ipapi (ip-api.com). Adding _geosource- selects a different source, which works for Mobile proxies too:

curl -x http://testuser:testpassword_country-GB_geosource-maxmind@mp.evomi.com:3000 https://ip.evomi.com/s

Sources disagree about individual IPs, so a filter that matches plenty of them on one source may match fewer — or none — on another. See Geo Source Selection for the available sources and why ISP values differ between them.
